Establishing a language school for children has been a life-long dream of mine, and I was absolutely delighted to launch in Northern Ireland in February 2013. Having obtained an honours degree in French & Spanish at Queen’s University Belfast, I completed my Post Graduate degree in Primary Education in Liverpool, specialising in languages for children. With 12 years teaching experience, it was only natural for me to set up a language school that placed children’s enjoyment in learning languages at its core.
My daughter Maisie (4) attends weekly Spanish sessions, and our latest addition to the family, Lucia (9 months) enjoys activities from our baby Spanish Sensory Experience. Singing & dancing are fast becoming her favourite activities, and she is learning vocabulary easily. Maisie’s enthusiasm for languages is shining through, even at such a young age. It is wonderful to hear her choosing to use her Spanish phrases at home and we now play many of her favourite games using her newly acquired language. I firmly believe that exposure to a second language as a young child offers endless benefits to the overall development and well-being of a child – increased confidence & self-esteem, quicker acquisition of their own language to name but a few. A simple internet search will provide you with many recent studies giving evidence of the endless benefits of exposure to a second language as a child and in support of that, I am proud to be able to introduce exciting, fun & interactive language lessons to you & your family in Northern Ireland.
I look forward to meeting you in class!
